Test the same FXServer artifact, resources, database and workload on the hardware you may actually deploy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fivemx-guide-box fivemx-guide-note\">\n<p><strong>Correction:<\/strong> the previous article claimed 23% CPU and 40% RAM differences from an undisclosed \u201c168-hour\/200-player\u201d test. No reproducible environment or raw data existed, so those figures and the test claim were removed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Start with support and dependencies<\/h2>\n<p>Cfx.re publishes separate <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.fivem.net\/docs\/server-manual\/setting-up-a-server\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Windows and Linux FXServer setup paths<\/a>. Check that page for the current artifact, runtime and launch instructions. Then inventory every dependency your server needs: database, backup tooling, monitoring, voice, anti-cheat, admin tooling and any resource with native binaries.<\/p>\n<p>A resource written in Lua or JavaScript may be portable while an included native component or install script is not. Do not compare a fresh Linux install with a production Windows server carrying different resources.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Record artifact, OS\/build, CPU allocation, memory, storage, database and every resource revision.<\/li>\n<li>Warm both systems and replay the same controlled workload for the same duration.<\/li>\n<li>Measure server frame time distribution, CPU saturation, resident memory, database latency, network loss and resource warnings\u2014not only one average.<\/li>\n<li>Run multiple samples and retain the raw time series and test script.<\/li>\n<li>Test restart, crash recovery, backup and restore time; operational reliability is part of the choice.<\/li>\n<li>Publish the environment with any percentage you report.
