\u201cFiveM mod\u201d can mean four different things, and they are not installed in the same place.<\/strong> Identify the package type from its documentation before copying files. Randomly placing archives in the FiveM application-data folder can break updates or violate a server’s rules.<\/p>\n

Install a server resource<\/h2>\n

  1. Verify creator, license, checksum or release source and framework dependencies.<\/li>\n
  2. Extract the package into a dedicated server resource folder.<\/li>\n
  3. Confirm the folder contains a valid fxmanifest.lua<\/a> at the expected level.<\/li>\n
  4. Import documented database migrations only after a backup.<\/li>\n
  5. Dodaj ensure resource-name<\/code> in the correct dependency order.<\/li>\n
  6. Start on staging and check server console plus client F8 errors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Client-side files<\/h2>\n

    Do not treat a YouTube description or mirror as installation authority. Use the creator’s current instructions and the server’s rules. Never move GTA Online cheat tools, injectors or unknown executables into a FiveM workflow. Scan downloads and keep a clean rollback copy.<\/p>\n

    Single-player mods are separate<\/h2>\n

    OpenIV packages, ScriptHook plugins and GTA V story-mode mods are designed for a different runtime. They do not become FiveM resources by copying them into a server. Keep a clean GTA V installation available and never use modded files in GTA Online.<\/p>\n
