Tired of the barren landscapes in GTA V? Sandy Shores Vegetation breathes new life into the Sandy Shores area, filling it with dense, natural details while staying true to the game's original atmosphere. Designed for immersion, realism, and roleplay, this mod enhances the desert environment without compromising the vanilla style. Perfect for creating a more believable and lived-in world.

This mod uses existing GTA V assets, enhancing the Sandy Shores area with approximately 700 additional props, including trees, bushes, and desert vegetation. You'll also find details such as advertising billboards and parked trailers along the roadside. As a bonus, an illegal boxing cage has been added near the motel area, creating a unique RP hotspot.

Sandy Shores Vegetation is FiveM and Singleplayer compatible and consists of a single .ymap file and its corresponding _manifest.ymf. A fxmanifest.lua is included for easy installation on FiveM servers. For Singleplayer, the corresponding map files (.ymap) for Map Builder are included.

Note that this is not an MLO. rather a CodeWalker-based mapping using standard GTA V map files.

Installation

1. FiveM:
2. Place the resource folder into your server’s resources directory
3. Add ensure sandy_shores_veg to your server.cfg
4. Restart the server or start the resource manually
5. Singleplayer:
6. Requirements: OpenIV, Map Builder
7. Install Map Builder
8. Open OpenIV → enable Edit Mode
9. Open path: mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/custom_maps/dlc.rpf
10. Go to: x64/levels/gta5/_maps/custom_maps/
11. Copy the included map files of this pack
12. Open: mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/dlclist.xml
13. Add if missing: <Item>dlcpacks:/custom_maps/</Item>
14. Start GTA V – the mapping will now load in Singleplayer

Compatibility

If you install multiple maps, the _manifest.ymf file may be overwritten because it has the same filename in every pack. Solution: rename one of the manifest files (example: _manifest1.ymf , _manifest2.ymf ) before copying it into your Map Builder custom_maps folder.
