About This Mod
Shootdodge: The Sequel (Max Payne)
Bring the iconic Shootdodge ability from Max Payne into GTA 5 with this mod, a revival and significant enhancement of jedijosh920's original Shootdodge mod. This mod adds a balanced and configurable Shootdodge mechanic, complete with a bullet-time meter, sound effects, and extensive configuration options.
Features
- Bullet Meter HUD (texture by Dragononandon) limits bullet-time usage for strategic gameplay.
- Weapon-dependent meter drain: Pistols drain slower than rifles.
- Killing enemies refills the bullet meter faster.
- Integrated sound effects.
- Improved controller/gamepad support.
- Configurable bullet meter HUD and sound via .ini file.
- Adjustable time scale and dodge forces via .ini file.
- Character remains prone in aiming mode after landing unless movement keys are pressed.
- Compatible with Dual Wield Reboot (with limitations).
Installation
- Extract the contents of the downloaded archive.
- Place
Shootdodge.dll,Shootdodge.ini, and theShootdodgefolder into your/scriptsfolder (create one if it doesn't exist in your GTA 5 main directory).
In-game, activate Shootdodge by pressing the J key. You can customize the key and other settings in the .ini configuration file. For controller users, double-tap the Reload button.
Requirement
If you have GTAV Enhanced, you need SHVDN Enhanced (tested works on SHVDNE v1.1.0.5). If you are on GTAV Legacy, please use SHVDN-nightly (the legacy version is built on nightly.120)
Compatibility
This mod may conflict with other slow-motion mods. SilverFinish's KillCam works with Shootdodge, but the dodge effect will end prematurely after a KillCam sequence. Physics/ragdoll mods may affect the mod; adjust forward/upward forces in the .ini config to compensate.
