Oulsen’s HD satellite postal map adds custom postal codes, road names, signs and points of interest to the FiveM minimap. The original release includes editable DDS files, a grid-free variant and postal data for use with a separate nearest-postal script.
Verified source
The original release was published by Oulsen on the Cfx.re forum. Its download points to the creator-controlled Oulsen GitHub repository. Use those pages instead of an unrelated mirror.
Install the map
- Download the current repository from the verified source.
- Place
oulsen_satmapin the server’s resources directory. - Add
ensure oulsen_satmaptoserver.cfg. - Restart the resource or test server.
Optional grid-free version
The repository includes a NoGrid directory. Copy its files into the resource’s stream directory only after backing up the existing textures.
Editing and nearest-postal support
The release provides DDS source files for editing with tools such as Paint.NET. Oulsen states that OpenIV can be used to replace the textures in the YTD files. The included oulsen_satmap_postals.json is data for a separate nearest-postal resource; that script is not bundled with the map.
Staging checks
- Compare postal labels at several city and county locations.
- Check the large map, pause map and minimap at common resolutions.
- Confirm that another map resource does not overwrite the same streamed textures.
- Keep the previous map resource available for rollback.
