How to Evaluate, Test, and Maintain FiveM Scripts

Prereqs: Docker + Docker Compose, a cfx license key, and an oxmysql resource copy (drop into server-data/resources/[standalone]/oxmysql).

Part 2 — Acceptance Checklist Before Buying

Run the same checklist for every paid script, even when the seller is popular:

Do not buy a resource you cannot test, inspect, or support. A cheap script that creates weekly staff tickets is expensive.

Part 3 — Risk Score

Score each script from 0 to 100 before it touches production:

• 0-25: low risk. Maintained, documented, compatible, light resource use.
• 26-50: moderate risk. Needs staging, but no obvious blockers.
• 51-75: high risk. Locked code, unclear dependencies, or weak seller history.
• 76-100: reject. Backdoor reports, no support, broken demo, or incompatible framework.

Add 15 points for every hard blocker: no changelog, no test server, no refund criteria, no dependency list, or no proof the script runs on your framework.

Part 4 — Maintenance Cadence

After a script passes, put it on a simple monthly routine:

1. Check seller changelog and security notes.
2. Update staging first.
3. Run the same acceptance scenario.
4. Compare resmon before and after.
5. Back up config and SQL before production rollout.
