Before buying a complete FiveM setup, establish exactly what is included: a resource bundle, hosting, installation help and ongoing maintenance are different services. A preconfigured bundle can save assembly work, but you still need to verify licensing, compatibility and recovery.
For FiveMX purchases, standard support covers product access, order checks, available setup notes and product-specific issues. Full server setup, third-party conflicts, custom framework changes and unrelated resources are outside that scope. Read the current support details before buying.
Decide what you need
List the gameplay you actually plan to run, your framework, expected administration work and the resources your team can maintain. Compare building from an official framework recipe with buying a documented setup. More bundled scripts do not automatically make a better player experience.
Use the server-pack and custom-setup comparison to separate the supplied files from the work you will still perform.
Ask for evidence before paying
- Request a resource list with versions, dependencies and the framework or fork. Confirm whether database migrations and a tested start order are included.
- Check the rights to use each asset, account-bound entitlements and restrictions on editing or redistribution. Ask which files are protected and which configurations are editable.
- Watch or access a demonstration of the core player journey: joining, character creation, jobs, inventory and reconnecting. A cinematic trailer does not demonstrate server stability.
- Confirm the complete cost: setup, host, licenses, subscriptions, installation and updates. Read the actual support scope and refund terms.
- Ask how backups are exported and restored and whether you can move to another host. Keep your own administrator access and copies of the supplied documentation. Record unresolved requirements in the pre-purchase checklist before paying.
Accept the delivery on a test server
Archive the original download and receipt. Review the supplied SQL before importing it, including any DROP DATABASE, CREATE DATABASE or USE statements. Use an isolated database instance for the first import: choosing another schema in a client does not override a fixed database name inside the script. Record all versions and replace supplied default credentials.
For example, the QBCore V5 product notes warn that its SQL drops and recreates fivemstorev5. Its archive and isolated SQL import were checked in the separate package audit; a live server start has not been verified. Follow the package-specific instructions and the server-template installation guide, keeping existing production data separate.
Verify an ordinary player and an administrator separately. Test persistence after reconnect and restart, access restrictions, core jobs and a backup restoration. Record problems with exact reproduction steps and ask the provider to resolve them within the agreed support scope.
Move to production only after acceptance
Keep the previous server files and matching database snapshot until the new setup is accepted. Schedule a maintenance window and make the rollback decision before opening to players. Measure performance under your own representative activity; a bundle’s advertised capacity is not evidence for your host.
