This premium resource is a great addition to any roleplay server, providing a realistic average speed camera experience along with Discord logs and the ability to integrate into frameworks such as vRP and ESX. The highly configurable resource allows you to easily add more cameras. With a few edits, you can make this fine users on a public server or even link it in to your database.

Average speed cameras are unique in the sense that they use two cameras, measuring the time taken to travel between the first and second one. Using this time, the speed is calculated and if this exceeds the limit for that road, the driver is detected as speeding.

We’ve pre-installed over 40 sets of cameras (80 individual) in the configuration file, making this easy to install and use. This is increasingly used around the world, especially in the UK as a more effective way to prevent speeding. There is a custom model included, created by Adam Fenton. We’d like to thank him for working with us.

Full Features:

  • Discord Integration – You can setup an inflatable jack or use someone else’s after they have set it up
  • Detection Leeway – Easily allow a leeway for speeding, such as 10% + 2 MPH
  • Highly configurable – This is our most configurable resource yet, with full language support in our config and the ability to easily integrate it with vRP/ESX.
  • Add additional cameras – In the config file, you can easily add more average speed camera locations by defining the coordinates and the limit, when the script starts, they are all generated.

Framework Integration:

  • Permission checks  – You can easily open the config_averagespeed.lua and configure the script to your liking. The first section is called main, allowing you to set the Discord webhook, speeding leeway and other settings.
  • Secondly, the translations section allows you to configure this for another language, such as French.

Configuration:

In the config section of config_averagespeed.lua, you can add more cameras. We’ve already included 40 sets of cameras.

Simply add an entry to the table.

This requires you to set the coordinates and heading of both cameras and also the speed limit. You can create unlimited average speed cameras.

Installation:

1.  Purchase the resource through our Tebex store here.

2.  Create a new resource folder in your server directory.

3.  Check your email for the downloaded resource, please check your spam folder.

4.  Place the contents of the downloaded .zip inside the resource folder.

5. Configure the resource to your liking

FiveM Speedcam/Radar Script – Automatic Speed Enforcement System

Add realistic traffic enforcement to your FiveM server with this Speedcam/Radar script that automatically detects speeding vehicles and issues violations. Place speed cameras at strategic locations throughout your map to monitor traffic, catch speeders, and create consequences for reckless driving. Perfect for law enforcement roleplay, realistic traffic systems, and servers wanting to discourage dangerous driving, this script adds automated speed monitoring that works 24/7 without requiring active police presence.

What’s Included

This script provides a complete speed camera enforcement system. You get placeable speed cameras at configurable map locations, automatic vehicle speed detection as cars pass camera zones, speed limit threshold settings for each camera location, violation detection and logging when vehicles exceed limits, fine issuance systems that charge speeding drivers, and notification systems to alert players when caught speeding. The script works autonomously – once cameras are placed, they continuously monitor traffic and issue fines without admin intervention.

Key Features

  • Automatic Speed Detection – Cameras track vehicle speeds in real-time
  • Configurable Locations – Place cameras anywhere on your map
  • Speed Limit Settings – Set different limits for each camera zone
  • Fine System – Automatically issue fines to speeders
  • Player Notifications – Alert drivers when they’re caught speeding
  • 24/7 Monitoring – Works continuously without active police
  • Violation Logging – Track speeding incidents for law enforcement
  • Framework Integration – Connects to ESX/QB banking for fines

Perfect For

  • Roleplay servers with realistic traffic enforcement
  • Law enforcement systems needing automated speed monitoring
  • Servers wanting to discourage reckless driving
  • Communities with traffic laws and consequences
  • Servers creating revenue from traffic violations
  • Realistic city roleplay with speed limits

Technical Details

  • Framework: Works with ESX, QBCore, QBOX, or standalone setups
  • Performance: Optimized zone detection with minimal resource usage
  • Customization: Configurable camera locations, speed limits, and fine amounts
  • Database: Logs violations for police review (optional)

Installation

  1. Download the Speedcam/Radar script and extract to your resources folder
  2. Configure camera locations in the config file (coordinates and speed limits)
  3. Set fine amounts for speeding violations
  4. Add “ensure speedcam-radar” to your server.cfg
  5. Restart server – cameras will begin monitoring traffic immediately
  6. Optional: Integrate with police MDT for violation logs

Configuration Options

The config file lets you customize every aspect of speed enforcement. Define camera locations with exact coordinates, set speed limits for each zone (20 mph in residential areas, 60 mph on highways), configure fine amounts based on how much over the limit drivers are going, enable or disable player notifications, choose whether to log violations to database for police review, and set camera detection radius. You can place cameras on highways to catch dangerous high-speed driving, in city centers to enforce urban speed limits, near schools for safety zones, or anywhere else traffic enforcement makes sense.

Framework Compatibility

  • ESX – Integrates with ESX banking for automatic fine deduction
  • QBCore – Compatible with QB money systems
  • QBOX – Fully compatible
  • Standalone – Works without framework (manual fine handling)

What Makes It Stand Out

Unlike manual police speed traps that require active officers, this script provides automated enforcement that works around the clock. Speed cameras create consistent consequences for reckless driving even when police aren’t online. The configurable locations mean you can target problem areas – if players constantly speed through downtown, place cameras there to modify behavior. The fine system creates economic consequences that discourage repeat offenses. With violation logging, police can review speeding patterns and target enforcement efforts. This adds realism to traffic systems without requiring constant admin babysitting or police presence.

Gameplay Impact

Speed cameras change driving behavior on your server. Players learn where cameras are located and adjust their speed accordingly, creating more realistic traffic flow. Habitual speeders face mounting fines that impact their economy. The threat of automatic tickets makes players think twice before racing through city streets. For law enforcement roleplay, violation logs provide evidence for repeat offenders and dangerous drivers. The script creates a foundation for realistic traffic systems where speed limits actually matter and reckless driving has consequences beyond occasional police chases.

Customization Examples

Set up different enforcement zones for varied gameplay. Place highway cameras with 70 mph limits to catch extreme speeding while allowing normal fast highway driving. Create school zone cameras with strict 25 mph limits and higher fines for safety. Set up downtown urban cameras at 35-40 mph to enforce city driving. Configure residential area cameras at 30 mph for neighborhood safety. Adjust fine amounts to match your server’s economy – $500 for minor speeding, $2000+ for extreme violations. The flexible config adapts to any server’s traffic enforcement philosophy.
