Open the FiveM client console with F8 and test:
profile_fpsFieldOfView 85This is a client profile command, not a normal server.cfg setting. Start with a modest value and test first-person movement, driving and aiming.

How to test FOV
- Open FiveM and press F8.
- Enter the profile command with one value.
- Close F8 and test the same camera and location.
- Increase or decrease gradually; extreme values can distort the image or cause discomfort.
- Restart FiveM and confirm whether the profile value persists.
Why the view may not change
- A server resource may create a scripted camera with its own FOV.
- The command may affect first-person gameplay but not every vehicle or cinematic camera.
- A graphics preset does not necessarily control camera field of view.
- The current client build or profile can expose different command behaviour; check
cmdlist.
Server owners
Do not promise that one server configuration line forces every player’s personal FOV. Script-created cameras can set their own field of view with Cfx.re camera natives, but that is separate from the player’s normal gameplay profile. Test custom camera resources at several common values and avoid fighting the client setting unnecessarily.

Restore a comfortable value
If a test value causes distortion, nausea or aiming difficulty, return to the previous number you recorded and restart the client. Do not paste a configuration archive from another player: profile files can contain unrelated display and input settings. Change only the FOV value, verify it, and keep accessibility and comfort ahead of a wider screenshot.
